It’s our favorite weekend of the year and it all begins this Friday, December 2nd. You don’t want to miss a minute of this weekend. Be sure to arrive in Eureka Springs early enough to check in to your room before the festivities begin. As a guest of our Eureka Springs Bed and Breakfast you will leave The Inn at Rose Hall with a portable cup of steaming hot chocolate to sip on your way to the festivities.
Stroll down Spring Street, which is magical with Christmas lights and decorations at all of the Springs and the Victorian Homes. Even the stores are participating with Living Christmas Windows from 3PM until parade time at 6PM.
The evening parade is unlike any you have ever seen. It’s an electric parade—maybe not like Disneyland—but it has a lot of personality—Eureka style. There will be dozens of floats created by our merchants, schools and groups of individuals that get together to express their joy of the season. Several marching bands from surrounding towns have joined the celebration over the years. The parade really demonstrates what a warm-hearted community we live in.
Saturday, December 3, 2011 is the Christmas Tour of Homes from 3PM-8PM. Each year a number of the Victorian Homes open their doors for the Christmas Tour of Homes. The trolleys shuttle people from the designated parking area to the beginning of the tour. There you can stroll from one home to another where guides dressed in Victorian finery tell you about the history of each home. And of course, along the way there is always a place to stop and enjoy some Christmas cookies.
Tickets are available at the Eureka Springs Chamber of Commerce (516 Village Circle, 479-253-8737), the Eureka Springs Historical Museum (95 South Main Street, 479-253-9417), or conveniently online! Advance sale tickets are $15; day of tour, $20.
