Snugglin’ by the Fireplace

FallBlog-GalleryFireplace-9135411We’ve lit the fireplaces and brought out the hot chocolate at The Inn at Rose Hall and The Peabody House.  Lake Lucerne Resort is primed with freshly stacked firewood for our cottages with wood burning fireplaces.  It’s in the 70’s in the daytime, which is the perfect temperature to wander the hills and drops to the 40’s in the evenings.
As you walk in The Inn at Rose Hall you can smell the Pumpkin Bread baking or you just might be arriving when the Pumpkin Bread Pudding with Carmel Sauce is coming out of the oven.  Once you have tasted it you will absolutely have to take the recipe home with you.  Fall has it’s own special colors and smells.
It’s a great time to take a break as it won’t be long before the Holidays will be here.  Be sure to make your reservations soon.  We still have a few rooms and cottages available.

Eureka Springs Dresses Up for Fall

One of those perfect fall days.

Eureka Springs is putting on a splendid show this fall.  The trees are ablaze in reds, yellows, and greens.  When you consider the drought conditions we experienced this summer, it’s amazing to see how pretty our hills look.

Yesterday we took the three dogs for a walk around the cottages at our Lake Lucerne Resort to check out the leaves and feed our geese.  The dogs ran ahead of us on the trails and pounced on each other in the piles of leaves like small children.
